Our History

Winifred BakerThe Dominican University Winifred Baker Chorale was formed six years ago by officially uniting the Dominican University Chorus and the Winifred Baker Chorale under the direction of Craig Singleton. 

Winifred Baker served on the music faculty of Dominican for almost fifty years.  In 1957 she founded the Winifred Baker Chorale, independent of the college, but rehearsed in Angelico Hall.  Six years ago she retired and returned to Scotland.
